Lake Wynonah is a private, gated, lake community in Schuylkill County, PA with approximately 1300 homes and features 2 gorgeous, pristine spring-fed lakes. Lake Wynonah (known as the “big lake”) is approximately 90 ft. deep at the deepest areas, and Fawn Lake (known as the “small lake”) is up to 45 ft deep. The crystal-clear waters of Lake Wynonah and Fawn Lake are the centerpiece of this beautiful community. The community is still a hidden gem and is ideally situated in the majestic Blue Mountain range to offer peace and tranquility while still conveniently located in a short drive to most major cities. Reading, PA is about a 35 minute drive while Allentown, Harrisburg and Lancaster cities are approximately an hour away. Philadelphia is a reasonable commute at about an 1 ½ hour away and New York City is just over 2 hours from Lake Wynonah.
If you are looking for lake time, you’ll have plenty of opportunity. Lake Wynonah is approximately 2.5 miles long and covers 175 acres. The lake is a full recreational power boat lake and residents are allowed to swim, fish, water-ski, and other watersports are permitted. Fawn Lake is approximately ¾ mile long and covers about 27 acres. Only non-motor or electric boats are allowed on this lake. Swimming, fishing, kayaking and other non-powerboat activities are permitted.
Lake Wynonah also provides common areas for residents and guests to use throughout the community. These areas include dedicated swim areas on both lakes, docks, pavilions, picnic tables, and playgrounds. There are also resident boat launches at each of the lakes for members to use.
